Intro to Psychoanalysis continues Saturday, April 18th
Join me for these spring events!
Looking forward to the next Introduction to Psychoanalysis class, Saturday, April 18th! We will be discussing the period following World War I, including Freud’s free clinics, specifically the establishment of the Berlin Psychoanalytic Polyclinic by Max Eitingon, Karl Abraham and Ernst Simmel. We’ll review the work of early woman psychoanalyst Lou Andreas-Salomé, and take a look at a few of Freud’s papers from this era, including “The Uncanny” (1919), “A Child is Being Beaten” (1919), Beyond the Pleasure Principle (1920), and the case of the Wolf Man.
All paid subscribers to RU Center for Psychoanalysis are automatically registered for An Intro to Psychoanalysis, and the recordings are archived here at Substack. Catch up on previous classes HERE.
But first join me THIS SATURDAY, April 11th for Dr. Lara Sheehi’s book launch for From the Clinic to the Streets: Psychoanalysis for Revolutionary Futures (Pluto Press, 2026) hosted by The Relational School. This event is FREE but registration is required. I moved April’s Intro to Psychoanalysis class from the 11th to the 18th so we can all attend! This event will not be recorded! REGISTER HERE
